Why is this pork, sage and leek sausage Ernie's Choice?
Steve tells us - my Dad, Ernie, was fussy about good quality food, particularly sausage. Having had "bangers" stuffed with bread, water and less than great ingredients in WW2, when we launched this sausage over 20 years ago - it became "his own" - "this is a proper sausage" he would proclaim to all - making sure friends and family knew it was "Ernie's Choice". Love you Dad, your legacy lives on!
West Country - where does this name come from?
Being British from birth, FG founder Steve, embeds inspiration from different areas that promote what we have locally here in Skåne, and south Sweden. The UK West Country region has some of the best apples - very similar to NW Skåne, where we are based.
The West Country sausage uses eco-apples paired with thyme bringing a "Sunday lunch" experience in a sausage.
We work closely with Husets Must, our neighbour in Valhall Park, on several apple products. Keeping it local (heart)
